Happy Bucks
by Amelia Roll

PDG Mike Rambus was happy about his wonderful trip to Greece with family.

Norm Raymond was thrilled to have had help setting up for the parking lot this year - thank you Alex! - as well as being pleasantly surprised to run into a relative of Charlie Pappas (Realto Restaurant in Ferndale) at the marina.

Earl Sparkman was happy for all kind of reasons, including being happy to see Mike Rambus, celebrating his 49th wedding anniversary last week and the fact that he and his bride are going on vacation up north with good friends.

Norm threw in an extra buck for Ruth putting up with Earl for 49 years!!!

And last but not least, Al Shrosbree was happy to be back at a meeting - and we were all very happy to see him!

Todays Program
by Amelia Roll

We took the opportunity today to incorporate a Membership Committee meeting into our regular meeting.  The main objective was to get some ideas for a tri fold brochure that provides information about Rotary, and more specifically about our club.  We looked at brochures that other clubs around the country have produced and were able to get a good feel for what we wanted to do.  We still need to do a lot of work on this project to make it represent who and what we are, as this may be the first contact that prospective members have with our club.  The membership committee will be holding other discussions regarding this project in the coming weeks - and all members are encouraged to participate. So, with that being said, if anyone has any ideas or thoughts that they would like to add, please contact Earl Sparkman - Committee Chair or President Amy.
